The assembly-line approach – mountains of paper, piles of ring binders, constant phone calls distracting us from the task at hand, plus endless meetings where the most talkative participants ramble on in monologues and nothing gets decided; and then the managers dictate what needs to be done anyway, forcing people – those who actually do the work – to rush from one task to the next, leaving far too much unfinished. It is a waste, driven by the whims and decisions of those in ‘bullshit jobs’.
